The manors of Lahemaa are introducing themselves jointly to the international market
On the leadership of MTÜ Lääne-Viru Tourism, the manors of Lahemaa are introducing themselves jointly to the international market. Sagadi, Palmse and Vihula manors have a common historical and cultural background that can be exploited to increase the attractivness of the region including visitors.
The aim of the campaign is to increase the availability of information regarding the leisure facilities in the region, increase the awareness of region and raise the number of tourists who are visiting the region. That will be done by using the channels of social media as well as print media, organizing the roadshows to resellers and journalists, participating with joint bids on the tourism fairs.
There has been generated a common information channel www.facebook.com/lahemaamanors that shares the informaton about the three manors as well as opportunities for the region. Visitors to the region have been invited to share their holiday impressions of the Lahemaa. People who have signed up and also shared their experiences in Facebook between them will be entered into a prize draw to win a luxorious vacation for two persons.
Palmse, Sagadi and Vihula manors are situated in Lahemaa National Park, about 80km from Tallinn, naturally in a very beautiful place. Palmse manor is the first fully renovated manor complex in Estiona that is being managed by SA Virumaa Museums. Sagadi manor has been renovated completely and belongs to Riigimetsa Majandamise Keskuse. Privately owned Vihula manor is the only country club style manor complex in the Baltics. MTÜ Lääne-Viru Tourism is the association in Lääne-Viru county that includes volunteers among individuals and corporations. The association was established 12 years ago in order to develop tourism and initialize tourism-related projects.
